Datuk Jamil Justine Jinggut is a respected Malaysian leader with a strong legacy in politics and community service. As the son of the late Temenggong Datuk Seri Jinggut anak Attan, he was raised in a family known for leadership and dedication to the nation.
He pursued his education at St. Joseph School and later earned a Bachelor of Accounting in Iowa, USA, in 1982. His political career began soon after, serving as a Member of Parliament from 1982 to 1992 under the Sarawak National Party (SNAP). His contributions have been widely recognized, earning him the Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (PBS) in 1989 and the prestigious Darjah Penglima Jasa Negara (PJN) in 2002. These honors reflect his dedication to public service and his commitment to the Iban community
